Use Provisions

There is no requirement to file proof of use with the registry, however, non-use of a mark for a period of 3 years from registration renders it open to an action for cancellation by third parties.

Renewal

Annuities are due annually, in advance, beginning with the fee which fell due on filing the application, and every year thereafter before the end of the month containing the anniversary of the filing date.  Failure to pay an annuity leads to lapse of the patent.  Please note that no grace period for the payment of annuities is currently being allowed by the Bolivian authorities.
