In The Spotlight: Zoë Molloy

Zoë is the newest member to the Lysaght team, bringing with her 7 years of IP experience and qualification as a CITMA paralegal. With Lysaght’s commitment to nurturing and developing the staff, Zoë will face new challenges in preparing to manage her own portfolio of countries. Already a part of the Lysaght Run Club, Zoë makes the 5km distance look easy in training for the Jersey Marathon in 2025.

We put the following questions to Zoë to find out more:

Where are your roots?

I am Jersey born and bred.

In your role, what do you enjoy the most?

I like communicating with clients and agents worldwide and the variety of brands that we work with - everything is different.

If you were a trade mark/brand, what would you be?

Zara. Anyone who knows me well, knows that I love their clothes and I make sure I know where the closest one is when I go away, as we don’t have Zara in Jersey. When I compliment what someone is wearing, 99% of the time it is from there, I can just tell!

What’s the talent you wish that you had?

There are so many things I wish I could do, but I’d love to be able to sing.

If you didn’t work in Intellectual Property, what would you have done?

When I was at school, I wanted to be a journalist or a travel writer.

Who’s the most famous person you’ve met?

Cheryl Cole. It’s a long story but I was lucky enough to go to the X Factor final in 2015 and meet her. I also met Jason and Brett Oppenheim from Selling Sunset when I was in Mykonos a couple of years ago (it was my birthday too!).

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

My friends and family, I feel very lucky to have such a close circle.

Where’s your favourite place to visit?

Greece. I absolutely love the Greek islands for the weather, the scenery, the people, the food, and am determined to visit as many as possible!

What’s your favourite drink?

A Hugo Spritz, or an iced matcha with oat milk.

What’s the best thing about working at Lysaght?

The work-life balance that is provided as it means my Monday to Friday is not just about work. I have enough time in my evenings to catch up with friends and pursue my hobbies or just have more time at home.
