Goods and services can be registered. However, Class 33 goods are NOT registerable, and neither are alcoholic beverages and drinks covered in Class 32.
International Arrangements
Convention priority can be claimed.
Renewal
10 years from the filing date and every 10 years thereafter.
Use Provisions
Non-use of a mark for a period of 5 years from registration renders it open to an action for cancellation by third parties. However, the cancellation action for non-use of a registered trademark cannot be accepted unless the owner of a trademark is given a 1 month notice that his trademark is subject to cancellation for non-use.

Law No. 10 of 2020 on the Protection of Industrial Designs was issued in Qatar on 19th April 2020, but the Implementing Regulations have not yet been promulgated. Therefore, currently the only available means for "protecting" designs in Qatar is by periodically publishing cautionary notices in the Arabic and English languages in local newspapers, so as to alert third parties to the existence of corresponding rights.
